GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE

This programme is aimed at international students who would like to improve their English language skills and gain practical work skills.  No prior experience is necessary and placements usually last between two and four weeks.  Placements are normally in the administration, hospitality, or retail fields.

STUDY AREA INTERNSHIPS

This programme is aimed at students who would like to gain practical work skills within their chosen field, in a foreign country. This programme is suited to business, technical, healthcare, and other speciality high schools or training schools. The placements are often between two and four weeks however, they can be up to 16 weeks, if required. We have opportunities in everything from healthcare to engineering to business marketing for the right students.

AN EXAMPLE OF OUR TERRIFIC PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES IN GALWAY

Guided City Walk to explore the Old Town and the most important sites in Galway.

Evening of Irish music. As the regional centre of Irish culture and folklore, Galway offers great insight into the country’s rich music scene, past and present. This evening together is a lively event that introduces Ireland’s most popular musical genres.

Irish dancing show “Trad on the Prom” is a great musical & dance show that makes for perfect evening entertainment for the whole class and, at the same time, is a typically Irish event that you should not miss.

Excursion Aran Islands. A ferry takes you over to this picturesque, natural group of islands. Once there, you will have the choice of going on a bike ride or exploring the island on foot.

Evening of Irish dancing where you get to learn a couple of lively Irish dances, taught by a dance teacher.

Day-long excursion through Western Ireland which takes you to the Cliffs of Moher, Limerick and on a drive through the surrounding national park, that boasts an incredibly beautiful natural landscape, distinguishing itself by its wild greenery.

A popular additional option: a round-trip of 2 days at the beginning/end of your trip, including accommodation in select hostels or B&Bs.  Highlights such as the Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, Limerick and St. John’s Castle, Rock of Cashel, Glendalough, and Wicklow, as well as a paid visit to a typical working farm, where you get a tour and get to try local produce. There is also the possibility of visiting a university and meeting local students and professors. We will gladly compile a detailed program for your journey once you have been in touch with us.
