GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE

This program is aimed at international students who would like to improve their Italian language skills and gain practical work skills without much prior experience necessary. The placements are between two and four weeks and are within the fields of administration, hospitality or retail.

STUDY AREA INTERNSHIPS

This program is aimed at students who would like to gain practical work skills within their chosen field in a foreign country. This program is suited to business, technical, health care and other specialty high schools or training schools.The placements are often also between two and four weeks however can be up to 16 weeks if required. We have opportunities in everything from health care to engineering to business marketing for the right students.

Last day of Internship, certificates & awards’ ceremony, farewell meeting.

AN EXAMPLE OF OUR EXCITING FLORENCE ACTIVITIES

City tour through Florence where you will travel through the old town, led by an experienced tour guide at our language school. Includes an introductory talk about the history and art of this city.

Visit the Duomo, the cathedral, as the central and most integral part of town, should be part of any visit to Florence. Go to see the beautiful Frescoes, as well as the rich interior of the cathedral. Climb the 463 steps, leading up to the top of the tower, and enjoy the marvellous view of the surrounding city.

Museo Galileo. During this visit, you will be fascinated by this brilliant museum of mathematics, physics, and astronomy. A great visual journey into the mind of the genius, Galileo Galilei.

Palazzo Strozzi. Visit this museum and use its interactive features to really dive into the history of the renaissance. A great museum with picturesque architecture.

Cine Italiano. Enjoy an Italian movie night with a pick of some great classic films.

Piazzale Michelangelo. Witness the great architecture of the Piazzale and the beautiful view of the surrounding city.

Galeria degli Uffizi and Palazzo Vecchio. The Medici, one of the wealthiest dynasties of the middle ages, were incredibly fond of and huge supporters of the arts and culture. Visit the Galeria and the Palazzo and feel like a Medici for the day!

Italian cooking class, with a chance to sample what you have cooked at the end!

Optional: Chianti Wine and Vineyard tour   A half-a-day-long trip to the Chianti wine region, including a paid visit to a vineyard – with a typical “merenda” and wine tasting for those students 18 +.
