GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE

This programme is aimed at international students who would like to improve their Italian language skills and gain practical work skills.  No prior experience is necessary and placements usually last between two and four weeks.  Placements are normally in the administration, hospitality, or retail fields.

STUDY AREA INTERNSHIPS

This programme is aimed at students who would like to gain practical work skills within their chosen field, in a foreign country. This programme is suited to business, technical, healthcare, and other speciality high schools or training schools. The placements are often between two and four weeks however, they can be up to 16 weeks, if required. We have opportunities in everything from healthcare to engineering to business marketing for the right students.

Internship & go to the market.

THURSDAY

Internship.

Excursion to Ostia beach.

SUNDAY

End of first week, departure of teachers.

WEEK 2 and 3

During weeks 2 & 3 there are only 2 scheduled cultural events for students and the internship runs Monday to Friday.

Day trip to the Villa Borghese.

MONDAY

Internship & Coliseum tour.

TUESDAY

Internship & Italian body language seminar.

WEDNESDAY

Internship.

THURSDAY

Internship & visit to the Domus Romane de Palazzo Valentini.

FRIDAY

Last day of internship, certificates & awards’ ceremony, farewell meeting.

SATURDAY

Day at leisure in Rome.

AN EXAMPLE OF OUR EXCITING ROME ACTIVITIES

Arrive in Rome, how to find your way around the language school, as well as the Roman way of life and customs.

City tour through the historical town centre, led by an experienced tour guide.

Visit the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. During this guided tour through the catacombs of St. Peter’s Basilica, you will get to see the Swiss Guard and the Pope’s official residence, as well as the impressive Frescoes of the Sistine Chapel.

Coliseum and Forum Romanum, this tour takes you through the 2000+ year-old Coliseum, where wild animals, gladiators and slaves fought, and often died gruesomely, in front of thousands of spectators during Roman times.

Pantheon, dedicated to the seven Gods of ancient Rome, this marble-covered building is one of the best-preserved architectural wonders, from the times of Emperor Augustus.

Seminar: Italian body language where you will be playfully taught how Italians talk without words!

Company visit to a Roman newspaper, with an explanation of everyday activities at the paper, given by a member of staff, as well as a tour.

Excursion to Ostia beach and tour the Ostia Antica, as well as the Etruscan open-air museum, followed by relaxing on the beach afterwards.

Trip to the Villa Borghese where you will get to know how Roman Emperors used to live in their summer estates. Enjoy a guided tour, with a great view over the rooftops of the city.

Visit Le Domus Romane de Palazzo Valentini, an interactive multimedia museum that talks about Rome’s history and the excavations in the city. Featuring a light show and an earthquake simulation.
