GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE

This programme is aimed at international students who would like to improve their German language skills and gain practical work skills.  No prior experience is necessary and placements usually last between two and four weeks.  Placements are normally in the administration, hospitality, or retail fields.

STUDY AREA INTERNSHIPS

This programme is aimed at students who would like to gain practical work skills within their chosen field, in a foreign country. This programme is suited to business, technical, healthcare, and other speciality high schools or training schools. The placements are often between two and four weeks however, they can be up to 16 weeks, if required. We have opportunities in everything from healthcare to engineering to business marketing for the right students.

Internship introduction & city tour.

TUESDAY

Internship & scavenger hunt in Vienna.

WEDNESDAY

Internship & educational visit at a local specialist school.

THURSDAY

Internship.

FRIDAY

Internship & Austrian movie evening.

SATURDAY

Day trip to Schönbrunn Castle and Schönbrunn Zoo.

SUNDAY

End of first week, departure of teachers.

WEEK 2 and 3

During weeks 2 & 3 there are only 2 scheduled cultural events for students and the internship runs Monday to Friday.

WEEK 4

SUNDAY

Day trip Bratislava by boat or visit the Wachau wine region.

MONDAY

Internship & visit the museum district.

TUESDAY

Internship & Imperial Vienna tour.

WEDNESDAY

Internship.

THURSDAY

Internship & bike tour.

FRIDAY

Last day of internship, certificates & awards’ ceremony, farewell meeting.

SATURDAY

Day at leisure in Vienna.

Departure day.

AN EXAMPLE OF OUR EXCITING VIENNA ACTIVITIES

Treasure hunt around Vienna with an interactive scavenger hunt that challenges your students to find their way around the city and locate the “treasure”.

Tour of the city which takes place during the first day, introducing the city of Vienna, its history, and the most important sites.

Intercultural exchange visit to a commercial school or tourism school.

Imperial Vienna tour take a trip back in time with a fascinating look at the great empire that once was Vienna.

Visit the zoo and Schönbrunn Palace Gardens, this includes a visit to one of the best zoo’s in Europe, then take a walk around the spectacular palace grounds. if it’s really hot you might even choose to take a splash in the palace pool.

Belvedere Palace and art gallery, this trip back in time walks through the Belvedere Palace and visits the spectacular art gallery that houses many fine examples of Austrian art from the middle ages to modern day.
