EXAMPLE OF ACTIVITIES IN VENICE
Tour to help you navigate Venice which takes you through Venice’s most important canals and touches on the city’s history.
Grande Canale. This waterway is hundreds of years old and offers you a unique view of this romantic city. A ferry ticket, which enables you to use the Vaporetti as often as you want, is included.
Trip to Isola San Giorgio. Go to see the San Giorgio Maggiore. An elevator will take you to the bell tower, so that you can enjoy a wonderful view of Venice.
Basilica di San Marco e Piazza San Marco. This is a classic sightseeing destination and should not be missed from any trip to Venice. The Piazza San Marco is an ideal point of departure for group activities.
Palazzo Ducale. This tour leads you through this masterfully built structure of gothic architecture and takes you on a journey through brilliant artwork, by Titian, Tintoretto or Veronese.
Peggy Guggenheim Collection. This tour leads you through the previously private art collection, belonging to the Guggenheims. It includes outstanding modern art by a multitude of artists, from Picasso through to Jackson Pollock.
Piazza Prato delle Valle. One of Venice’s biggest and most beautiful squares invites leisure and relaxation for your students after class.
Excursion to Murano. Take a ferry ride and have a look at the local artwork made from glass with a visit to a local company included.
Optional excursion to the water park Aqualandia. This water park will appeal to the entire class. Bungee jumping and Europe’s highest water slide will really excite them!
