INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODS, TEACHER LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND FRENCH CULTURE
This course is aimed at trainee teachers or teachers of French with a B2 level or above who want to further develop their language and teaching skills. The course follows a pattern of several workshops where participants will take part in oral and written activities to develop their knowledge of French civilisation, improve linguistic skills and reflect on pedagogic practice. It also allows participants to refresh their knowledge of contemporary France and the constantly changing French language. The course develops teaching skills and focuses on class dynamics as well as study of French society, media, advertisements, French songs, language evolution and recreational activities.
During the programme, there’s the opportunity of museum visits, guided city tours, evening outings and other excursions. The course will equip participants with ideas and materials that can be used in their own classrooms following a pattern of several workshops where trainee and practising teachers will take part in oral and written activities.
The teaching development course was designed around the objectives of ERASMUS+ Key Action 1, with the aim of increasing internationalisation and modernisation of schools and strengthening the teaching profession. As a result, it aims to increase attainment of multilingualism in students through effective teaching, with the ultimate goal being to decrease unemployment and reduce the number of students dropping out of school across Europe.
